Learning Spanish during your holidays in Lanzarote

Lanzarote, due to its excellent climate all year round round, has become a destination for those looking to enjoy their free time travelling and learning languages. On the island, for some time now, there are several spanish courses for foreigners, organised by the local government of Lanzarote. These take place in different places such as, Arrecife, Teguise, and the town of San Bartolome.

For tourists, this is an excellent opportunity to study and practise spanish, and at the same time, learn more of the culture and traditions of this spectacular volcanic island, as the lessons are based on the history of Lanzarote, its landscapes and the traditions and customs of the local society.

On the island, the are a number of academies that offer spanish learning courses for foreigners, with intensive one week workshops, or even just 4 days, for those visiting the island for a couple of days. The publicly organised courses are the best option if you are planning a long stay, as they are free and one of its objectives is to integrate visitors and promote the general knowledge of the island.

For those thinking of a holiday in Lanzarote this autumn, or are already enjoying their holidays in a hotel in Playa Blanca, the town council has already opened the inscriptions for the new spanish course for foreigners in Yaiza. It is completely free, but with limited places. You can sign up until the 27th of September 2013 and the only requirement is that you are over 18 years of age.
