The most notable novelty is the celebration of a Christmas Market on Sunday 13th of December. The traditional Christmas market will take place from 10.00 am to 20.00 pm, with many activities planned throughout the day. The market will feature over 30 stalls with hand crafts, traditional toys, decorations, gourmet cuisine and delicious Christmas sweets.

The youngest members of the house, will enjoy throughout the day an exclusive space for them in the Agana Terrace of the hotel and activities designed by the prestigious Eureka Kids company. At 12.00 am there will be a concert by the Orchestra of the Orfeon La Paz, and also the coral of the Spanish/English school, that undoubtedly will a delight for the children.

This month of October, both the Grand Hotel Mencey as the Cookery Classroom of El Mencey, present several novelties with the aim to enjoy a terrific Halloween night. The night of the 31stof October will be a night you will not be able to forget!

The resort will transform the emblematic building of Casa Duque del Mencey into an authentic house of terror.  The night of the 31st of October, starting at 21.00h, La Casa Duque will hold a themed Halloween dinner that will include all kinds of surprises.

The themed dinner will consist of a tasting menu with wine pairings included. In addition, the evening will also include the best live music until 24:00. An interesting novelty for the month of October at the Grand Mencey hotel, is the opening of Mencey’s Vermutería on the following 10th of October. It will be available to guests and public every Saturday from 12.00h until 15.00h where, as well as the best snacks and cocktails by the Iballa Cocktail Bar, attendees will enjoy a selectionoftapas and gourmet preserves.

As for the Cookery Classroom and its cooking courses, after a short break during the summer months, the courses and classes are back with two very interesting and popular proposals.

The first cooking class, set for Thursday the 8th of October, is a cooking class designed for attendees to learn how to prepare homemade jams, marmalades and preserves, and will be led by chef Carlos Perez. You will learn how to preserve seasonal produce and learn all the secrets required to have a stack of marmalades, jams and preserves all year round. The price per person is 40€.

The second cooking course focuses on the perfect Halloween night. It will be held on Friday the 30th of October, between 18.00 and 21.00, and the price is set at 40€ for adults and 30€ for children. The cooking course will be led by chef Javier Martin.

The month of September brings some interesting news for Mencey’s Cookery Classroom. The summer holidays are coming to an end for many,however there is a large number of lucky people that will enjoy their holidays this month, and there is no better place to do so than the island of Tenerife.

The Grand Hotel Mencey and its gastronomic space inaugurates a new terrace, the Bacardi Terrace. It is situated within the hotel complex, in an area especially designed for guests to enjoy an incomparable setting. The Bacardi Terrace will be opened every day from 13.00 to 23.00 and guests will be able to enjoy the best mojitos on the island for only 5€.

Another important news arethe new evening menus of the restaurant and terrace of Los Laureles. The menus have been created to include local produce and the latest international gastronomic tendencies. Designed to enjoy the best gastronomic experience in Tenerife in a relaxed and comfortable ambience. The restaurant will beopened everyday from 19.30 to 23.00.

During the month of September Mencey’s Cookery Classroom will not ne holding any cooking courses, however, those who crave a delicious gastronomic experience can do so at the Terrace of Los Laurels and its Special Rice degustation menu, that includes Los Laureles salad, the rice dish of the week, dessert and water or sangria. The price is only 35€ for adults and 16€ for children.

Regarding the themed nights, there are two dates that you do not want to miss. The first of all is the following 11th of September, and the theme will be Mexican food. Enjoy the most authentic Mexican dishes such as nachos, burritos, flautas, fajitas and much more!

The themed night on the 25th of September will focus on ceviches and tartars, and some examples include cherne ceviche with cilantro, pompano with tropical mango or tuna tartar with old mustard. Both nights will have live music, from 19.00 to 23.00, only at Mencey’s Lounge.
