Canary Islands, the great Carnaval

The best time to visit the Canary Islands is February, when winter takes a hold of the rest of Europe and the islands become that paradise that everyone dreams about from the office: endless white beaches, beautiful mountains, delicious cocktails by the sea … And the big party of the year: Carnival.

Carnival Tenerife

The most famous carnival in Europe is the carnival of Tenerife and has little or nothing to envy Venice’s Carnival. Similar to those held in Brazil, but with the advantage of being on this side of the ocean, the Carnival of Tenerife is an experience that everyone should live at least once in their life.

The spectacular carnival of Santa Cruz, the celebration of El Coso, or Carnival Tuesday (Mardi Gras), the day carnival, the mysterious Burras or the tradition to kill the snake in Puerto de la Cruz, the large number of proposals, festive events and ceremonies that are experienced during Carinval days in Tenerife is overwhelming.

The hotels in Tenerife have taken advantage of this and many prepare their own activities and adapt their services for the occasion. Some of the most significant are the Iberostar Grand Hotel Mencey, a luxury adults only hotel in Santa Cruz and one of the historic hotels of the capital of Tenerife; the hotel in Costa Adeje Iberostar Bouganville Playa and the All Inclusive Resort Iberostar Torviscas Playa.
